		<description>On May 11th, 2008 the Workers International League (WIL) in cooperation with the US Hands Off Venezuela campaign, hosted Jorge Martin, international secretary of Hands Off Venezuela, in San Francisco as part of his ongoing North American tour.  The topic of the meeting was about Latin America and the revolutionary struggle.  Meeting was held in the Brava theater in the heart of the Mission district, an overwhelmingly Latino neighborhood.</description>

Meeting at the headquarters of SEIU 1199, the two speakers were Marcos Garcia, labor attache from the Venezuelan embassy in Washington, DC and Jorge Martin from the international Hands Off Venezuela Campaign.</description>

		<description>Jorge Martin continued his North American tour with a public meeting on May 17 at the Central Labor Union Council in Minneapolis, MN.  Some 70 people turned up for the event, with several trade unionists in attendance. Speaking on  Revolutionary Latin America,  Jorge was joined by Yasmin Tovar, a local Venezuela solidarity activist; August Nimtz, Professor at the University of Minnesota and expert on Cuba; and Gerardo Cajamarca, an exiled Colombian trade unionist now working with the United Steel Workers.
